When DHL took over the British logistics service provider Exel, Ralf Weissbeck, today Managing Director of Deutsche Post IT Services, and his team managed to create a common global system base for the IT of both companies within only 12 months.

The industrial engineer has a controlling background and worked with ROM in Hamburg and Adam Opel AG in Rüsselsheim, amongst others. In 2002 he started his career in logistics as Vice President Planning, Projects & Quality with Schenker AG in Essen, Germany. In 2005 Ralf Weißbeck joined the global market leader DHL. In his position as CIO he is in charge of DHL Global Forwarding and DHL Freight. Since 1st November 2009 he is Managing Director Deutsche Post DHL Global IT Services.
Pete Sadler
Born in London, Pete Sadler graduated in Chemistry and is a trained commercial pilot. He soon used his expertise knowledge in science and aviation to develop technical standards and special IT solutions designed for the transport of hazardous goods. Since 1989 Pete Sadler has focused exclusively on IT. During the integration of Exel into DHL he was in charge of supplier management, system architecture, and of the test teams. Since 2007 he is Head of Global Applications at DHL.
